Summer Break???

Summer break has officially begun. Well, that is a break for teachers and a break for students - summer no time for a break has started for the mom's! Still, this is exciting. There is time to sleep in and stay up late. Time for beaches, and parks, and reading time. Time for friends and bikes and hikes and staying up late.... and that's the first day. OK seriously though, at some point, in the not too distant future, the tides turn. There becomes time to fight with your siblings, and grump about being bored. Time for everyone to get on each others nerves, and time to gripe about what is or is not for dinner. Sure, summer leaves time for a break from school, a break from routine, a break from getting up and out the door every morning. However, there is another old adage that speaks of great wisdom: Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder -- and sometimes, just sometimes, that hold true of our family on summer break...
